MC Jumper -
Orion Presents / G.A.G./ruffneckplayazcrew.com/Club Vibes/Skyehigh
Rochester, NY

In 1997, the Las Vegas rave scene was in a rebuilding period. Basically, if
were into electronic music, you went to Club Utopia to hear major Trance
Headliners. Anyone who wanted anything different would have to travel to Los
Angeles. Every now and then, someone would try a one off event, but lost so
much money, that they were not able to do it again.

In the summer on 1997, a brave soul decided to try something that Las Vegas
had never really been exposed to. JUNGLE! Not just a jungle DJ, but an entire
jungle room. They brought in the entire Junglist Platoon from LA. The room
was jammed packed all night. They had brought a MC from San Fran. This MC
needed a rest and handed the microphone to a Las Vegas local. People kept
asking who this local guy was. The reply was Jumper. From that point on
Jumper hosted almost every one off event up until he left LV in May of 1998.
This including being the host MC for the one and only time that Club Utopia
turned their chill out room into a Jungle room.

Anyway, we need to back up for a second. From the fall of 1997 until the
summer of 1998, The Radiant City Collective (RCC) was throwing monthly
benefit events usually held in coffee houses in which there would always be a
group hug at midnight. In January of 1998, RCC threw another event in Cafe
Roma. The last DJ of the night was a local trance DJ named Dig Dug. 20
minutes before the end of his set, Jumper got on the mic to announce that
something was about to happen in which LV had never heard. They were then
introduced to Happy Hardcore. The kids LOVED it and Dig Dug and Jumper were
immediately asked to perform at the next Generation X party entitled Love
Connection in which Jumper MC'ed 3 hours of happy hardcore. The remainder of

Jumper's stay in Vegas not only included countless performance with Dig Dug,
but also such out of town Happy Hardcore talent as Paulina Taylor and Simon
Apex and passing the microphone with MC Stylee. In May of 1998, Jumper
returned to his birthplace, Rochester, NY. At first, Jumper was the host for
many local events. One of those events was a CCCP party that had a local
happy hardcore DJ named Guy Smilee. Jumper MC'ed the set. It was the
beginning a team that currently headlines events all over the continent. For
the most part, the first year that Jumper was back in Rochester all the
MC'ing was either for Jungle or just hosting the events. Although, Jumper did
make a return appearance out west in Los Angles to MC for Dig Dug on New
Years 98/99.

In February of 1999, Triple X Productions in Ithaca, NY did something that no
one had done in the area before. One of their headliners was a Happy Hardcore
DJ and mc set. It was Washington DC's DJ Bezerker alongside MC Jumper. The
next month, in Rochester, Jumper MC'ed a tag team with Toronto's Trypnotic
and Rochester's Guy Smilee. In the same month, Jumper made his Toronto Happy
Hardcore debut at the DIY event entitled "Spring Roll," in which he MC'ed for
DJ Spree. Promoters in Rochester started bringing in happy Hardcore DJ's and
asking Jumper to MC their sets along with hosting the party. May of '99 alone
included events with Happy Hardcore headliners such as Venom and even Las
Vegas's Dig Dug. And 1999 brought Jumper to MC such UK Happy Hardcore talent
as Breeze (in Cleveland) and Dougal (in Toronto).

Club Piranha opened in the fall of 1999 with Phato Productions taking care of
Friday nights. Guy Smilee and MC Jumper were asked to perform at least once a
month. And sure enough, by this time, a crew of die-hard happy Hardcore fans
in upstate New York were born and came out every time the 2 were together.
Promoters were no longer afraid to book happy hardcore as a headliner. In the
headliner for Eternity 5, the Y2K New Years event in Albany, NY, was Bezerker
with MC Jumper.

The year 2000, brought Jumper around the continent hosting and MC'ing Happy
Hardcore in such places as Toronto, Cleveland, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Dallas,
Springfield, Mass, and everywhere in upstate New York.
News Years 2000/2001
Jumper MC'ed for DJ Breeze at 2 events in England.  The first one was at The
Jailhouse in Hareford (near Wales) in which Jumper passed the mic with MC
Unity and did the countdown for the new year.  The second event was a few
hours later at Raindance in London.  The next weekend Jumper got to perform
in London once again, but not to modern happy hardcore.  This event, entitled
"Dance '92", was a strictly old Skool (91 - 93) party in which Jumper MC'ed
for such legends as Slipmatt and Rob Blake and introduced the one and only
