DJ
"The Cook" He is a perfect example of deep and dark... he doesn't want to
spoon feed you with a picture perfect happy sound! the world is not neccesarily
a happy place so why try to candy coat his selection of music as if he is
making it for a bunch of fools that need to be spoonfed a bitter listening
experience? i pride myself on the mix i've got the talent (8 years as a
dj) i believe a mix is the merge of 2 worlds from the heart! what i've learned
in my 31 years of existance is that you got to be true to the peeps that
help you. i'm not the type to forget the peeps who get me to where i want
to be unlike some undeserving 'rockstars' I want to be internationally recognised
as a DJ who is not afraid to play whatever i want and not to cater to the
needs of the popular crowd there are too manyDJs jumping on the progessive
this, progressive that bandwagon only to get fame because thats what the
majority of 'sheep' listeners out there want to hear. popularity does not
equate to talent! popularity is a cop out! "Look at paul oakenfold... he
has exploited the scene like no other. do you think if he started to play
happy hardcore that he would continue to have the succes he's haveing now?"--Wisernotes.com
The stuff i play comes from true producers who struggle to stay alive. they
aren't banking off any of their releases, and i can hear that through the
stuff they release! the music i play comes from people who do it for the
love of music not the love of selling a million records. people who produce
for money produce music that are hits music that cries for truth and not
for popularity! i am in it for recognition not fame... if i get recognised
i will be happy... if urb magazine wants me for an interview i'll tell them
to check out someone else. i don't ever ant to be famous... i want to be
infamous... the dj that you hear about from word of mouth not from a glam
magazine! "Music is from the heart not fom the wallet... PERIOD!"--Wisernotes.com
